Gill Cussons – Owner and Founder of NVS (Noise and Vibration Solutions) and Co-Founder at H4TLT Ltd (Hear 4 The Long Term)

Before founding Noise and Vibration Solutions in 2015, Gill spent seven years as the UK Sales Manager for Cirrus Research PLC. She then joined INVC (Industrial Noise & Vibration Centre) as a Senior Acoustics Consultant, later becoming part owner and Business Development Director in 2014.

As a co-founding Director of Hear 4 The Long Term (H4TLT), Gill has introduced innovative hearing health services, including 24/7 online HSE Hearing Tests, baseline hearing tests, and Earplug Fit Testing, responding to the evolving needs of her clients.

Gill is a highly experienced consultant and trainer specializing in Noise at Work, Noise Control, and both Hand-Arm and Whole-Body Vibration. Her services include Gap Analysis reports and audits, Industrial Noise and Vibration at Work Risk Assessments, and expert guidance in Noise and Vibration Control. She holds a BA (Hons) in Human Studies, a Postgraduate Diploma in Acoustics and Noise Control from Leeds Metropolitan University, and a Certificate in Surveillance Audiometry from the British Society of Audiology.

Gill is a frequent speaker at safety organizations such as IOSH, sharing her expertise in Noise, HAVS (Hand-Arm Vibration Syndrome), and WBV (Whole-Body Vibration). She also contributes to HSE working groups for both Noise and HAVS and offers independent insights to the UKHCA.

Through NVS, Gill provides on-site assessments, actionable recommendations, and continuous support, enabling clients to meet regulatory obligations and improve workplace safety for their teams. She also designs and delivers bespoke noise and vibration training, covering topics like Noise Control and Vibration Risk Assessments, in addition to training for various UK providers.

Industries she has supported range from education, food, and industrial manufacturing to engineering, local authorities, quarries, music practice rooms, and regenerative energy sites. Her versatile expertise extends to areas as diverse as airports, firearm safety, and even agriculture.
